Young And The Restless Scoop May 25: Chance Finds DNA Evidence Behind The Motel – Summer Begs Phyllis To Stay Away From Daniel

The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, May 25 reveals Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will find DNA evidence that could prove Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is alive.

Also coming up, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will share an awkward dinner. Plus, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will ask Phyllis to stay away from Daniel. And Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will be honest with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).

Y&R spoilers tease Tucker will apologize to Ashley for putting her on the spot. However, he’ll say she kind of did the same thing, blurting out their engagement. “I thought I played along rather brilliantly,” he’ll tell her. “I know for you, it’s just an act. But are any of the emotions behind it real?”

However, Ashley will say she’s sorry she can’t tell him what he wants to hear. She’ll admit she’s attracted to him and trusts him a little more each day. But for now, they should focus on their fake engagement. She’ll also point out that she asked him to move in with her. “So it’s not outside the realm of possibility that the rest of it could work out.”

At Society, Lily, Daniel and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will arrive and Billy and Chelsea will look surprised, and a little nervous, when they see Lily. Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) will suggest he, Lucy and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) sit at their own table. And a humorous scene will ensue, as the kids discuss their complicated families. By the end of the evening, Johnny will ask for Lucy’s number and Connor will not look happy about it.

Meanwhile, Chance will meet up with Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) at Society. He’ll tell her he’d like to investigate the theory that Phyllis is alive, by following up and checking out the motel room himself. “I do trust your instincts,” Christine will tell him. “Just tell me whatever I need to know if anything comes up.”

At Crimson Lights, Summer will stare at her phone. Then Chance will arrive and Summer will ask him to keep her updated. After she leaves, Sharon will ask Chance if she owes him a thank you. He’ll look at her, confused, and she’ll tell him about the bottle of champagne. He’ll say he didn’t gift it to her. “It’s kinda creepy though, getting a gift anonymously like that.” But Sharon will look alarmed after he leaves.

Young And The Restless Scoop – Summer Rushes Into Her Arms

At the GCAC, Summer will walk into a suite and rush into Phyllis’ arms. She’ll tell her mom it’s really risky, being in Genoa City like this. “I can’t run, I can’t be away from you,” she’ll reply. “What kind of mother can leave her children?” Phyllis will tell her she’ll never abandon her and Daniel again.

Then Summer will admit she told Daniel the truth, and she won’t like what he’s done. “He told Jack, Michael and Kyle.” Phyllis will ask if there’s a full-blown manhunt on for her. But Summer will say Christine doesn’t believe it. However, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are determined to prove it.

Phyllis will tell her daughter she wants to see Daniel. But Summer will refuse. “If Daniel knows where you are, he’s going to go straight to the police,” Summer will tell her. “You have already made my life complicated enough. Please listen to me on this and stay away from Daniel.” But will Phyllis take her daughter’s advice?

Finally, Chance will head to the motel room and look around. He’ll spot a garbage can and it’ll give him an idea. Chance will go out back, to the dumpsters, and look through garbage bags. And he’ll find a pamphlet from Phyllis’ memorial in one of them. Then he’ll make a call to the forensics team. “Can we get DNA from a tear stain, even if there’s mascara on it?” he’ll ask.
